We always recommend booking online - not only does this secure your slot, but you may also be able to take advantage of any current online discounts.
We don't take bookings over the phone, unless it's for large groups or corporate events.
PLEASE NOTE: We’re usually open on Bank Holiday Mondays, but opening times can vary, so please check our Google profile or social media for the latest updates before you visit.
We strongly recommend booking online before your visit. We can open outside normal hours for larger group bookings, corporate events, schools, or private sessions — just get in touch.

Yes. Our venue is fully wheelchair accessible, from the street right through to the axe throwing lanes. If the Richmond Centre is closed, we also have a secondary entrance for after-hours access. We do our best to accommodate all abilities, so if you’d like more details about accessibility or what’s involved in a session, please get in touch.
No, we don’t have on-site parking. However, there are plenty of nearby options - see our Parking page for full details.
Here's how a typical session runs - though our instructors always adapt things to suit the group.
Safety Briefing - Safety comes first. Before anyone picks up an axe, we’ll run through the house rules. This covers what you should and shouldn’t do, so everyone stays safe and has fun. And no, you can’t skip this bit - it’s not like fast-forwarding the boring part of a film.
Learning the Basics – Most people are new to axe throwing, so we start right at the beginning. You’ll learn how to hold, throw, and collect your axe, and get a feel for hitting the target.
The Big Competition – Every session ends with a friendly contest to crown the champ of your group. But it doesn’t stop there — scores also go onto our rolling leaderboard, so you could still be sitting on top weeks after your session.
Photo Time – Before you leave, we’ll snap some photos of you and your group with your axes and targets — something a little better than a stiff corporate headshot.
Your safety is our top priority. All sessions are run by trained instructors who guide you throughout the activity. Before you start, we''ll take you through a full safety briefing so you know exactly what to expect. With the right guidance and equipment, you can relax and enjoy a safe, fun experience.
Yes. Everyone taking part must sign a waiver before the session begins. This confirms that you understand the rules, accept the risks, and agree to follow our guidelines.
Anyone aged 16 or 17 must have their waiver signed by an accompanying adult who is on the same booking.
The waiver is electronic — the booker will receive a link that can be shared with all guests so it can be completed before you arrive.
It keeps things quick and easy on the day and also keeps our insurers happy — which in turn keeps us happy — so we can focus on making sure you have a great time.
No. For everyone's safety, anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs won't be allowed to take part. Our instructors have the final say and may turn you away if they believe it's unsafe for you to join. Derry already has plenty of brilliant pubs serving great food and drink — we'll stick to the entertainment and leave the pints to them.
No, but we do ask that you wear sensible footwear — no open-toed shoes or high heels. You'll be moving around and carrying axes, so it's best to wear something comfortable that you can move freely in. Wear something you can move in… you'll want full range of motion when you land that winning throw.
No, animals aren't allowed at our sessions. As much as we love them, it just isn't safe for them (or for you) around axes.
Yes. Participants must be 12 years or older.
Anyone aged 12–17 must take part alongside a participating adult (18+) who is included as part of the booking. The adult must be actively involved in the session. Bookings made solely for groups of 12–17 year olds are not permitted, and drop-offs or supervision from the sidelines aren’t allowed.
There’s no upper age limit — as long as you’re comfortable taking part, you’re welcome to join in.
Yes — but not the real ones. We run Velcro throwing sessions every Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holiday Monday (with extra sessions during mid-term breaks). These sessions are designed for all ages, so the kids don't miss out on the fun. They can throw Velcro axes, balls, and even soft-tipped arrows, with 20+ dynamic games to choose from — everything from bullseyes and Xs and Os to monster smash and duck hunt. It's a brilliant way for younger players to join the action while keeping things safe.
Most sessions last 60 minutes. Velcro sessions are slightly shorter at 30 minutes. We ask that you arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete any waivers and get ready for the safety briefing. If everything’s sorted quickly and you’re organised, you might even get a little extra time on the lanes.
Yes, we recommend booking ahead to make sure you get the time slot you want. All bookings must be paid for at the time of booking — there is no "book now, pay later" option.
If you prefer to pay in cash, just call in and see a member of staff. They'll be happy to help, secure your time slot, and take your payment in person.
No, we don't allow spectators at our sessions. But if you're not throwing, you won't be left out — you can always jump on our Pixel Floor or Multiball Wall while your friends are on the lanes.
Absolutely — as long as there's availability. Tickets are usually taken off sale about an hour before the start time, but this can vary, so it's always worth checking. If you're cutting it close, give us a call and we'll let you know if we can squeeze you in.
Once sessions are booked, they are non-refundable. We understand that life happens, and plans can change, so if you contact us more than 48 hours before your session, we'll do our best to move your booking to a more suitable time.
Anything within 48 hours of your session can't be changed, but please still get in touch — if we can help, we will.
We have 5 lanes, with space for up to 6 people per lane — so a maximum of 30 people can take part in a single session. Each booking has its own lane; you won't be sharing with strangers.
If you're part of a larger group making multiple bookings at the same time, we can arrange for you to be placed together. Just let us know in advance, as our system automatically assigns lanes.
Yes, you can. There are a few ways to do this:
Book all the tickets for a time slot — that way the lanes are all yours, no strangers sneaking in to steal your glory.
Get in touch with us directly if you have a specific date in mind. This works best for future bookings and larger groups.
If you're planning a team day out or want to treat your friends (and claim the title of "best organiser ever"), just drop us a message and we'll sort it.
Champ Pro is our digital scoring system that takes axe throwing to the next level. Scores are displayed live on the screen below your target, so everyone can see exactly how they're doing in real time. That means less time arguing over scores (or catching your mates "accidentally" writing down an extra bullseye) and more time actually throwing axes.
Alongside the live scoring, the Champ Pro app (available on iOS and Android) lets you create your own player names and avatars. We recommend setting this up before you arrive, so you can jump straight into the action.
There are loads of different games to choose from — classics like Bullseye and Around the World, team battles like Tic Tac Throw (Xs and Os), or fun challenges like Duck Hunt and Monster Smash. With over 20 game modes, there's always something new to try.
Axe throwing isn't a high-intensity activity, so in most cases you should be fine to take part. That said, if you're pregnant or have recently given birth, it's always best to check with your doctor or midwife before booking.
If you're in your third trimester, or within six months post-partum, we strongly recommend getting medical advice first to make sure it's right for you.
And if you are expecting — or have just welcomed a new arrival — congratulations! 🎉
Each escape room is designed for 2–6 players. However, we’ve found that four players is the magic number for The Room — it strikes the perfect balance between teamwork and challenge.
The Room is rated medium to difficult based on feedback from our testers, so we recommend it for ages 18+.
We’ve also had younger teenagers give it a go — they did well, just not quite within the 60 minutes . For anyone under 16, a parent or guardian must be present in the room. They don’t need to take part, but they do need to stay for the session.
If it’s your group’s first time or you’re playing with younger participants, we can provide a clue sheet for the adult to help guide the experience and make it more enjoyable for everyone.
Each escape room experience lasts up to 60 minutes.
Yes, we recommend booking online to secure your preferred time slot.
Our escape rooms are designed to be immersive and challenging rather than outright scary. The Room, for example, has a tense atmosphere with puzzles, riddles, and physical challenges that create excitement without relying on horror.
Yes. All players must complete a waiver before taking part. The waiver explains the rules and outlines what you may encounter inside the rooms — such as low lighting, lasers, sudden effects, or moments designed to startle. This way you'll know what to expect, and it helps us keep everyone safe while you enjoy the experience.
Our Seasonal Room is a themed escape room that changes with the time of year — offering something new and exciting every season. The first theme, The Naughty List, will launch at Christmas 2025.
All standard vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.
If your voucher is about to expire: Don't worry – you can still make a booking for a future date before the expiry. If you're able to visit sooner, you can simply move your booking forward.
This usually happens for one of the following reasons:
The code was entered incorrectly. Try copying and pasting it, and check for extra spaces or small mistakes.
The voucher has expired. Standard vouchers are valid for 6 months from purchase.
The voucher has already been redeemed.
If you recently tried to redeem your voucher but didn't complete the booking, the system will automatically "lock" it for up to 20 minutes as a security measure. Please wait before trying again.
If none of the above applies, please contact our team and we'll be happy to help.
